Hello lovelies and happy August! As usual the weeks, months are flying by and I can't believe it's August already, please tell me I'm not alone on this?! This month is an exciting one, as it's my birthday (finally turning 30 eek) and I'm also planning on getting back on track with blogging. You'll have noticed that it's been pretty hit and miss around here for a while,  to be honest life has just been busy and blogging has been last on my list. I've received a couple of parcels throughout July, which I am only getting around to using and testing out now so I wanted to put together an unboxing kind of post. I really enjoy watching these style of videos on YouTube and thought it might work out well as a written blog post also (at least I hope so). So let's get started as I do have quite a bit to get through..

First up I have Willowberry, which is a new British natural skincare brand focused to your skin’s wellbeing. All products are produced in small batches for quality and freshness.. making sure they are as natural as possible by using high quality, natural and unrefined ingredients. The brand also make sure to use ingredients that are rich in nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids, which are essential for your skin. I've worked with Willowberry’s founder, Jenni RetournĂ©, on previous beauty collaborations and I am so happy that she has made her dreams a reality, by creating her very own skincare brand. It makes me want to support this great brand even more, knowing the hard work that went behind it all. The best part about Willowberry is how open they are about the ingredients they use, making sure it's all explained in plain English on the back of each product and on their website, where it goes into more detail regarding ingredient processing. I also like that there's no focus on anti-ageing or making unrealistic claims, instead the focus is to nurture and balance your skin.

At the moment the brand consists of three main products that make up the Nutrient Boost Collection*: a cleansing balm, treatment oil and day cream. This collection focuses on the nutritionally-rich ingredients of ‘superfood’ chia seed, rosehip and vitamin E. All three products are suitable for normal to dry skin, which is perfect for my skin type and overall I have been enjoying using the collection as part of my skincare routine. First up I have the Willowberry Nutrient Boost Cleansing Balm which I like using in the evenings after I have removed my eye makeup. The balm feels rich and luxurious, as it's packed with nourishing essential fatty acids, powerful antioxidants and a cocktail of vitamins. It helps to remove every last trace of dirt an makeup, plus it leaves my skin feeling revitalised and nourished. Next the Willowberry Nutrient Boost Treatment Oil which I like to massage into my skin in the evenings. The oil feels super nourishing yet lightweight at the same time, as it's easily absorbed into my skin. It helps to repair and re-generate the skin, plus it leaves a lovely radiant glow too. Lastly the Willowberry Nutrient Boost Day Cream which I use in the mornings. The cream leaves my skin feeling hydrated without a greasy or heavy residue. It feels lightweight and almost has a whipped consistency, so I am really enjoying it for the warm summer months. All products have a beautiful spa like scent, which is a pleasure for the senses.

Next it's all about Korres as they have been releasing some fabulous new ranges lately and the Yoghurt Bath & Body Collection* is no exception. Greek yoghurt is well known for the many healthcare benefits regarding your skin (not just your diet). It's been considered to be an excellent cosmetic ingredient since it contains high levels of lactose, proteins, minerals and vitamins. These all help to increase the moisture levels in your skin and lock in hydration for long lasting results. Not only that but it helps to smooth your skin and leave you feeling refreshed. Other main ingredients include Guava, Shea Butter, Avocado Oil and Quince, which stimulates collagen and also help to restore elasticity and smoothness. The scent is super fresh and pure, a real pleasure to use this time of the year. I have been using the Body Milk, Body Butter and Hand Cream from the range, and it's safe to say that I am really happy with the results.

Caudalie is a brand that is relatively new to me, as I have only sampled a couple of their products in the past. The one product that I loved using before and the one I have here today is of course their cult Beauty Elixir. In fact this well known facial mist is currently celebrating 20 years with beautiful limited edition bottles that I was lucky to be sent. The Caudalie Beauty Elixir* is designed to help smooth features, tighten pores and add radiance to your complexion. I really enjoy using this before applying my makeup as I find that it awakens the skin and almost acts as a hydrating primer. It's also brilliant to use during the day on top of makeup when you need to refresh and cool your skin. Even though I like to use this to set my makeup, it's more so because of the radiant glow and not so much that it helps my makeup last longer. But then again it never claims to be a long lasting setting spray either. I've enjoyed using this in the past and it's no different this time around.

Another brand celebrating 20 years since their release of the Dead Sea Mud Mask* is of course 7th Heaven. This makes me feel a bit nostalgic thinking about it, as it's a brand that I've known and used since my early teens. I'm sure I'm not alone (I'd like to think so anyway) and would imagine that most of you have used at least one of their masks at some point.. since their products are easily found in your local Boots and they are affordable too. The Dead Sea Mud Mask is actually aimed at oily skin, so I need to be careful when using it and tend to stick to my t-zone area only. Saying that I haven't found it to be drying or irritate my skin in anyway. The key ingredients such as Dead Sea Salt, Seaweed and Lavender help to draw out impurities and open blocked pores. Results are super soft skin that is less prone to blemishes. For the price this mask is pretty amazing and the brand have a ton of different masks to choose from depending on your skin type.

Next I have a box full box of skincare freebies from Shop Skincare* and no it's not just another subscription box. The website launched last month focusing on ‘beauty lovers who love a recommendation’. The three full sized items above are amongst the many different products available, which you can receive absolutely free when you spend over £40 on this new website. Wherever possible Shop Skincare also try to tailor your free gifts to suit your personal skin tone and complexion. Spending £40 is quite easy to do and I'm amazed that you receive such fabulous full sized freebies, when other beauty websites will only offer tiny samples. There's some great brands to choose from such as A'kin, Ardell, Gatineau, Lord & Berry, Real Techniques and Ultrasun to name just a few. A'kin is actually a brand that I've had my eye on for some time now and was really happy to discover their Rosehip Oil amongst my freebies. I've used rosehip oil in the past and this is no different, as it leaves my skin super nourished and soft. I've yet to use the other freebies in the box, but will definitely keep the website in mind for future purchases as I love the free gift idea.

Lastly I have popular skincare brand amongst some of my favourite bloggers and that is Bravura. After reading so many wonderful reviews on the brand and their skincare products, I was super excited to try it all out for myself. I've incorporated the brand into my skincare routine over the past month and so far I'm really impressed. It turns out that using good acids in your skincare routine offers brilliant results.. my skin feels soft, hydrated and looks so much brighter also. Bravura products have been created to target specific skin types or problems, with anti-ageing as a main concern. It's also great to see that all products are completely cruelty-free, some are even suitable for vegans. Another great thing about the affordable prices, despite the high quality ingredients. I'm also a fan of the beautiful packaging, even though it may not be travel friendly. So here's what I've been using and loving the past couple of weeks.

First up I've been enjoying the Bravura First Cleanse Oil* in the evenings. I haven't used too many cleansing oils in the past but this is lovely and so gentle on the skin. It helps to breakdown makeup effectively without upsetting the skin’s natural balance. The main ingredients are Safflower oil,  Linoleum acid, Vitamin E, Coconut and Avocado oils.. to not only deep cleanse but nourish the skin also. A little goes a long way as one pump is all you need to massage into your skin before removing it with a muslin cloth (my preferred way). You can also rinse off with water only, a the oil will transform into a milky cleanser that is easily removed. The next product that I like to use straight after I have cleansed my skin is the Revitalising Ginseng Toner* which is extremely similar to the Pixi Glow Tonic. This is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid toner for normal to dry skin (sensitive skin included). The aim of this toner is to balance the natural pH after cleansing in order to prepare your skin for the following products in your routine such as your serum or moisturiser. I really like the delicate scent, it's light and refreshing. I also like that it's been infused with botanical extracts and exfoliating AHA’s to help tone and firm the skin, as well as tightening the pores. Like with all gentle exfoliating cleansers, over time it smoothes the skin's texture. Another chemical exfoliator which I have been using on weekly is the Bravura Lactic Acid 10% (infused with Rose)*. This is a mild chemical peel and considered to be the perfect treatment for dry or dehydrated skin since it's infused with Rose water. It's also recommended for hyperpigmentation, acne or dull skin, as it revives your natural glow and helps to produce more collagen. The brand recommend to build up the amount of time you leave on the acid stating with a few minutes at the beginning and building it up to 15 minutes. I find this peel super effective, but I am careful in making sure I currently don't leave it on for longer than 5 minutes as I don't want my skin to become too sensitive. I've also got the Hyaluronic Acid Serum* and Collagen Moisturising Cream* which I am planning on introducing into my skincare routine in the next couple of days, so watch this space.

If you made it all the way to the end then you deserve a pat on the back. Next time I'll make sure not to let products build up like this and stay on top of my beauty parcels. I'd love to know if you've tried any of these brands or products before? If so what are your thoughts?
