The Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide

The Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide

Can you believe Christmas is almost here?! I swear the years just get shorter and shorter as time goes on... yup it's definitely nothing to do with me getting older! Seeing as this festive season is all about giving, I wanted to put together my very own Christmas 2016 gift guide and it's definitely not just beauty related, there's a good mix. I know some (maybe most) of you are super organised and have probably sorted out your Christmas lists & gifts weeks ago, but I thought I would share this year's gift guide anyway... you know for those of you who only think about presents as soon as December comes around aka not me at all. As you can tell from the image above there's a lot of gift ideas to get through so I better get started.

The Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide

Let's start with beauty and of course what better set to show off first than this stunning Tweezerman Rose Gold Love Story*. This is a bloggers dream in my opinion and will feed anyone's rose gold obsession. This must-have kit contains the brand's award-winning Slant Tweezer along with the ProCurl Lash Curler both in rose gold, presented in a chic rose gold matching travel case.

Moving onto skincare with The Body Shop Finest Face Mask Duo, which is the perfect pamper set and would make a fab gift for any skincare fanatic. Seeing as out skin often varies from cheeks to T-zone, this mask duo is great for multi masking so you can look after your skin accordingly. The set includes the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask along with the British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask, both in very generous 80ml sizes. The mud mask is fantastic for drawing out impurities that leave your skin feeling super clean and fresh. I would go as far as comparing this to the super pricey mud mask from Glamglow (it's a great dupe). The rose plumping mask offers a great dose of hydration & leaves skin feeling plumped. What I love most is that this range is created with formulas that are 100% vegan. This £25 set may seem pricey at first, but considering the sizes and the quality it's actually a bargain.

Sticking to the beauty theme I've got some great sets from KORRES*, which is a brand that I was recently introduced to by Debenhams and I am so excited to try out more from the brand. They've got a great range of sets available varying in prices so there's something for everyone. I picked out a couple of sets which I thought would be great for a secret santa gift for example. So the three different set I have here are:
1. Korres 'Greatest Little Shower Gel' Collection £12 - this collection contains 6 x 40ml shower gels in different scents such as Fig, Guava, Basil Lemon, Santorini Vine, Bergamot Pear & Japanese Rose. The scents are lovely, I especially love the fruity ones like Fig and Bergamot Pear, which are really refreshing & invigorating.
2. Korres 'Almond Cherry' Collection £15 - this scent is the newest addition to the Korres family and it smells divine. The sweet aroma of almond and fresh cherries is a perfect mix, not too overpowering at all. The set contains a soft moisturising shower gel and body milk enriched with vitamins, great for everyday use. For the price you get two generous 250ml sized products which is fantastic.
3. Korres Survival Party Kit £19 - is great if you want to try out a range of products from the brand as it contains some great samples such as White Tea Fluid Gel Cleanser 16ml, Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream 16ml (currently using this and I am loving it), Korres Aloe and Ditanny Shampoo 40ml, Korres Guava Showergel 40ml and Korres Basil Lemon Body Milk 40ml.

Lastly from beauty I have the Estée Lauder Modern Muse Fragrance*, just look at this beautiful bottle. I don't want to say too much about this scent as I will have a full post coming next week in collaboration with Debenhams (ps it also includes an exciting giveaway). So this is more of a sneak peak as I really wanted to include a fragrance in this gift guide. I believe fragrances in general can make great gifts if you know someone's personal taste and preferences. I will say this though... this scent is floral, yet woody and oriental at the same time. It's a really deep & intense scent, which lasts amazing well throughout the day.

Now that beauty is over I'm excited to move onto lifestyle. I've been obsessed with making my house look cosy and festive so I have really hunted down some great bargains, which I thought would make great gifts also. For anyone that loves to read and snuggle up on the couch like I do, I wanted to create my very own blanket and book gift set. I think it's such a thoughtful and personalised gift for someone special. I opted for the Hygge: The Danish Art of Happiness as my book, which I have been seeing all over my Instagram feed. It is aimed towards appreciating the little things in life, something that I tend to forget about in the daily stress of life. I absolutely love flicking through this when I need a little reminder to be grateful along with some cheering up, it also contains some beautiful images along with tips & ideas... I definitely recommend it. With this Amazon bargain, I decided to pick up a new cosy yet stylish blanket (seeing as my old ones had started falling apart). I stumbled upon this EHC Super Soft Cotton Large Reversible Blanket, which was a total steal considering the size and quality. I will definitely have to look into picking up more colours in the future.

Going along with the cosy theme I wanted to include this Yankee Candle Jar Holiday Party Gift, because let's face it who doesn't like scented candles (if you don't can you please explain eh why?!). I haven't tried a lot of brands when it comes to scented candles but Yankee are definitely my favourite because they are on the affordable side (especially if you hunt down a bargain like I did) and they are great quality too. This set is perfect as it includes 3 small jars of the brand's festive scents All Is Bright, Macaron Treats and Red Apple Wreath. I really like the dinky and cute small jars, yet it's great knowing they still offer around 20 hours of burning each. I can definitely see myself burning these up over the festive season.

The Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide

Moving onto food and drink, which is secretly my favourite category because #givemeallthefood please & thank you! For anyone that loves hot chocolate, I thought it would be great to pick up a festive mug such as this lovely Santa & Mrs Clause duo from Sainsburys and fill it up with the right ingredients to make a perfect hot chocolate. Or if you're lazy like me you can just pick up these cute chocolate spoons from Whittard that will make a super delicious hot chocolate without any fuss. They also include tiny marshmallows, so all your missing really is the (must have) unnecessary cream. Of course you can swap the chocolate for coffee or tea depending on preferences and you can pick out a different mug too... maybe one of those personalised alphabet letters or a lovely quote option. Whatever you opt for, there's plenty of choices available from different brands and prices to suit everyone. I really do believe it can make a wonderful gift.

Not ready to stop talking about food just yet, so I thought I would put together another simple and affordable gift idea, in the form of mulled wine and biscuits aka #bestcomboever. Mulled wine has got to be one of the most festive drinks for this time of the year. To add more sugar to the already sweetened wine (eh no I'm not trying to advertise diabetes), a sugary treat like these festive  shortbread biscuits from this adorable M&S Shortbread Biscuit Stag Tin work perfectly well. If you can't indulge at Christmas then when can you I say. This duo was less than a tenner and they make such a great little gift set.

Finally I'm moving onto fashion where I have this perfect Christmas knit from H&M, which will no doubt put anyone in a festive mood. This long-sleeved jumper is quite subtle in the grey colour but does offer a festive image in the form of a super cute 'Gangsta Wrapper' pug. For the price this is the perfect festive jumper and I've noticed quite a few different variants available in store, so definitely worth checking your local store.

And with that I have finally come to the end of my post, thank you so much to everyone that got this far as I know it was a lengthy one. I hope you will be able to find this gift guide beneficial in some way even if one of the gift ideas grabs your attention or gives you some inspiration... than I will be happy. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and see if you'd be interested in any of the above gifts sets?
