If you live in the UK or Ireland, you'll be aware that summer has pretty much been non-existent... we've definitely had more rain than sun for the past few months and I've even caught myself turning the heat on a couple of times (shock horror). However that hasn't stopped me from wanting to show off some of this year's SS16 styles such as this gorgeous Warehouse Botanical Floral Dress*, which I recently picked up from House of Fraser. One of the biggest summer trends is prints, with pretty florals being one of the most popular ones for SS16. Beautiful floral prints are playful and bold with vibrant colours, which really makes a statement in an outfit.
House of Fraser have a huge selection of women's dresses available both online and in store, offering not only designer brands but budget options too. In my opinion dresses are definitely the ultimate go-to piece in anyone's closet... you can opt for the classic shift dress for the office, an evening bodycon dress for the dancefloor or a casual midi/maxi dress for day to day life (which is what I have chosen here). With such a huge variety to choose from it definitely took me a good hour to finally settle on this beautiful Warehouse Botanical Drawn Floral Dress*. I wore this dress over the past weekend, for the amazing Beyonce gig here in Dublin might I add. Thankfully the rain stayed away and the temperature managed to stay quite warm despite the lack of actual sunshine. I found it super comfortable to wear, it looked flattering on my curves and the material felt luxurious too despite the £35 price tag (plus it didn't stop me from 'shaking my booty' along with Beyonce). The material is soft & light, with thin spaghetti straps, a nipped in waist and a relaxed fit, which is perfect in my opinion.
To finish the outfit overall, I decided to pair up the dress with a cosy denim jacket (mine is an old option from H&M which I picked up a few years back) and my latest sale purchase... these stunning Clarks Viveca Melrose Sandals, which are super comfy yet stylish too. I couldn't be happier with my final choice and found the whole shopping experience with House of Fraser fantastic, because like I mentioned above there is an option for everyone. I'd love to hear all about your favourite summer styles this year... What are your thoughts on this floral pattern?
