Debenhams Beauty Haul

Debenhams Beauty Haul, Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray & After Glow Blush, Benefit Roller Lash Mascara & Gimme Brow

Not too long ago, around the time of my birthday, I managed to treat myself to a few beauty goodies in Debenhams using some vouchers I was saving for a while. None of the purchases are exactly new or even somewhat exciting but I have been on a budget lately, trying to avoid giving into every single beauty hype out there, so for me this little haul was rather exciting. It took me a lot of online browsing before deciding what I should buy, as I wanted to try new brands & products but in the end I stuck to some of my favourite brands and a few re-purchases (you know what they say if it ain't broke why try to fix it). So today's haul is all about two very reliable brands for me Urban Decay & Benefit. Let me tell you a little bit more about what I picked up.

I'll start off with the more 'boring' purchases, you could say, because they are all  re-purchased products for me but ones that have stood out & definitely worth buying again. First up I'll start with Benefit and my holy grail Gimme Brow in shade Medium Dark. I just can't get enough of this tinted brow gel and it's all I use these days. I feel like my brows are dark enough that I can get away with just a tinted brow gel brushed though, even if they are quite sparse in places. It's a pricey product for what it is if I'm being totally honest, but the last one I bought lasted me ages & it's the only brow gel that I have come across with a brush that is super duper tiny (my brows are not very thick so other wands I have used in the past can be so messy). I love the shade match & the fact that it has little fibres too, as it instantly makes my brows look a little bit fuller. What can I say we are a match made in heaven…

I'm usually a big fan of the Benefit They're Real Mascara, it's one of my favourites so I initially though I would be re-purchasing the same one. But something came over me in store as I somehow found myself buying their latest mascara release Roller Lash. I had the magazine sample when it first came out and whilst I loved it, I did find the formula a bit too wet to start off with. However I recently got a lash perm in my work place (I'm currently the guinea pig when it comes to treatments with new girls starting out), so my lashes have now got a natural curl to them. Hence why I thought to myself why not get this curling mascara to lift them up even further & I can skip on my lash curlers altogether (lazy girl thinking). I love pairing this up with my holy grail Blinc Black Lash Primer as I instantly get volume, lift & a good curl to my lashes that lasts all day... Win win!

Then it's on to Urban Decay, another favourite brand of mine and one that I don't experiment with often enough. I'll definitely have to broaden my horizons soon, but for now I stuck with a makeup setting spray that just works for me. The All Nighter Setting Spray is one of the best I've tried (even if I haven't tried a whole lot) and I love picking it up in a super affordable travel size, because it's not something I use on a daily basis so this tiny bottle last me ages. If I've over-powdered or if I want to make sure my makeup stays put all day I'll use a few spritz of this and I am good to go. It's definitely a product worth trying out especially since you can pick up this mini version for under a tenner.

I'll end the post with the most exciting product of them all because it also the one that is the most recent release in the beauty world, the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 Hour Blush. Firstly can we just take a moment to appreciate the stunning packaging. It's definitely love at first sight for me (yes I do know I'm talking about a blush). I was initially set on getting the shade Rapture, as it's quite different from anything else in my collection but they didn't have it in stock, absolute nightmare the one time I do go out to treat myself. I was still set on getting the blush regardless and with minimal toddler free time, I just decided to opt for a different shade Fetish instead. This is quite similar to the shade I was originally lusting after, but it's matte and has more of a light dusty pink undertone to it. I think this is a great everyday kind of shade, but it can be built up to a deeper tone for an evening look. I love being able to wear this on its own (minus contouring), as it still defines my cheekbones slightly and pairs up perfectly with a glowing highlighter. The formula is amazing and the pigmentation is perfect, so this is already a winner in my books.

So these are my latest purchases, they're not the most recent of releases but they are staples in my collection when it comes to the brands & the products alike. I'd love to know if up you've tried any of these products and if you have what is one of your favourites? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below...
