Is this the most beautiful eyeshadow palette your eyes have seen or what... I am seriously in love with this Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette & no it's not an exaggeration (well it might be to people who don't obsess over makeup & beauty as much as I do). When I first saw this palette, there was heart emojis all over it and even though you can snap this up on Beauty Bay for a super affordable £15.50 I held off buying it for a while as I was trying to keep beauty spending under control. Eventually payday came around and I just couldn't stop dreaming about these gorgeous shades, so I patiently waited until Beauty Bay got it back in stock & then snapped it up immediately. I'm so glad I treated myself to this and I kinda wish I had of done it sooner because this is a palette not to be missed (if you like your warm toned shades that is, if you're all about cool shades then this will not be your cup of tea). Luckily for me I love warm toned shades all year round (all day everyday) so this is the perfect palette for me & a very successful introduction to Zoeva makeup too.
As much as I love Zoeva brushes, it took me a long time to finally try out something from their makeup range (I honestly have no idea why). They have a great selection of eyeshadow palettes along with blushes, lipsticks, eyeliners & much more. Even though I've seen some gorgeous palettes being released over time, I was never attracted to a particular one as much as I was to the Cocoa Blend palette. I'm happy to report that all the positive reviews are deserving, because I give this palette a 10 out of 10. First off I love the super light weight packaging, yes it's made out of cardboard but it's very sturdy, slim & it does a perfect job at keeping the shadows safe. Plus did I mention it looks like a chocolate bar, so that instantly gets a thumbs up.
Top photo is the first row of shades & the bottom photo is the second row of shade from the palette.
But the most important thing of course is the formula of these shades, which I can confirm is amazing & I would even compare to the likes of MAC or Urban Decay. They are super pigmented, I mean just look at those swatch, plus they feel very soft & silky to touch. Their almost buttery texture makes them a dream to blend out and create a smokey eye, without much effort at all. I am particularly in love with the shimmery shades which almost look like they are pure pigments and also the warm chocolate matte shades which are perfect for blending into the crease, no matter what look you decide to go for.
I don't have a bad thing to say about this palette & it's safe to say that I am very impressed with Zoeva, even more than before (if that's possible). I'm not overly excited about any of the other palettes in the range so far but will definitely keep an eye out for any future palettes being released from now on. I'll be doing a makeup look with this later on in the week so do pop back for that if you want to see this palette in action. Until then I'd love to know if you've tried this palette or anything else from the Zoeva makeup range? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below…
PS. I have just found out that I have been shortlisted in the #BloggersBlogAwards created by Hayley (@TeaPartyBeauty) in the Up & Coming Beauty Blog Category which is just amazing. When I first voted for the awards myself I never even thought of asking anyone to vote for me as I didn't think I stood a chance, so I was shocked to find out I was in the top 5 yesterday. I know it was all blogger focused so thank you so so much for anyone who nominated me, it means so much. It would be amazing if you could take a few mins out to head on over to the #BloggersBlogAwards to vote for all the fellow bloggers in the different categories and of course if you wanted to vote for me that would be wonderful… but what matters the most is that you support the blogging community & show all the nominees a bit of love.
