Get Interview Ready with me!

The thought of preparing for a job interview can be a daunting task especially if it's the job of your dreams, so today I thought I would share with you my natural makeup look to see you through your next job interview. This makeup look focuses on letting your natural beauty shine through whilst still looking like you made an effort on the day. But first it's all about getting that job interview of your dreams in the first place…

I was recently introduced to City Calling, a new & innovative online jobs board providing employers and jobseekers alike with the perfect platform to meet their recruitment needs. The website takes on a fresh approach to online recruitment, where you as a job seeker you can be connected to quality employers. City Calling allows you to fully personalise your job search to your exact needs so you will only be linked with the right employers in your chosen field. Another great feature is that the website is international so it allows you to connect with companies all over the world, so you really do get a huge variety of offers. If relocating to another country is one of the options for you, the website offers clear & informative support to help you along the way. I've always been a fan of searching for jobs online, it really makes it that bit easier, so this is definitely an option that I will keep in mind if I ever need it.

As you can see from my makeup look I kept everything quite natural & simple, because personally when meeting someone for the first time I want to make sure that they can see me, maybe not the I just 'woke up me' but a more polished version of myself. It's all about showing your personality & being true to yourself, so it's really important for me to let my true self shine through my makeup as well.

My foundation had to be something quite light in texture yet with a good coverage, for a very natural finish. I'm currently testing out the Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation, which I have to admit is just beautiful. It might have a bit of an odd scent, kind of like herbal & floral but it's worth it because the finish is flawless (definitely sticking this on my summer wish list).

I decided to use the very natural The Body Shop Honey Bronzer for a soft yet defined look and then added a coral touch of colour to the cheeks using the Bobbi Brown Calypso Cheek Palette. The brows were once again kept to a minimal as I used my favourite Benefit Gimme Brow to add a touch of colour & keep them in place all day.

Next it was on to the eyes which was a mix of some of my favourite MAC eyeshadows; Woodwinked all over the lid, Espresso in the outer corner & Shroom in the inner corner of the eye. To add even more definition I lined the top lid using L'Oreal Superliner & then finished the look using Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara for a good curl with added volume to my lashes.

Lips were kept super simple as I just lined them all over using L'Oreal Infallible Lip Liner in Always Toasted topped by a very glossy finish using Jane Iredale PureGloss Lip Gloss in Pink Smoothie* which I recently received from the sponsors of Beauty Blogger Awards since I am up for a nomination (Best New Beauty Blog Award in case you were wondering).

So that's my quick & simple makeup look for a job interview situation, it makes me look & feel put together yet I still do so in a very natural way. I'd love to hear how you would prepare for a job interview?
