Lilac Eyes Makeup Look

Lilac Eyes Makeup Look

Another week another makeup look, which I was inspired to create using the products I recently received from Born Pretty Store (I've got a post all about that here in case you were wondering). So I went a bit mad with colour again using very similar shades for the lips & the eyes as I kept the base quite natural & dewy. I wasn't sure how the finished look would be but I have to say I quite like this shade of purple on me as I feel like it compliments my skin tone.

For my base I used a rediscovered product the Borjois 123 CC Cream mixed with a drop of MAC Strobe Cream (can you tell I've been digging through my stash using products that haven't been touched in months). To keep a dewy look I lightly powdered the slightly oily areas of my face (mostly my t-zone) with the Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette using the shade Breathe. I seriously can't get enough of this powder. I bronzed my skin using The Body Shop Honey Bronze Highlighting Dome as it looks really natural & adds a gorgeous glow to the skin. What I was missing here is a lilac blush, seriously lacking in that department so I decided to use my Hourglass Blush in Radiant Magenta as a blush & highlighter for my cheekbones.

The eyes are really simple to recreate & all steps are explained in the photo (the main products used are the cream eyeshadow base from Born Pretty Store and the Clinique Going Steady Quad). What I didn't mention is that for my lashes I used my favourite duo, Blinc Black Lash Primer & Benefit They're Real mascara, as it really gives my lashes lots of volume & length.

The lips are super simple again as I used my new favourite the Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick* from BornPrettyStore which applies so smoothly on my lips. Later on during the day though when my lips started to feel dry I added the lip oil on top which gave them a super glossy finish and that was really nice too (so either matte or glossy works really well).  So that's the finished look another super simple and easy look to create if you love these kind of shades. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this look and if it's something you would go for?
