Pamper Evening using JOIK Bath Truffles

You can't beat a good pamper evening and I like to treat myself to one of these kind of relaxing nights once a week. If I'm going to actually take the time to pamper myself I may as well bring out the full fireworks, so the hair mask is on, the face mask get's slapped on and a bath using some sort of bath treat is a must (especially this time of year while the weather is still chilly). So when I was introduced to JOIK Bath Truffles* I immediately wanted to share with you just how I go about spending my pamper evening…

I'm the worst when it comes to hair care as I just use whatever I can get my hands on in the supermarket to be completely honest. However the harsh London water is taking its toll on my poor hair so applying a moisturising hair mask such as this Garnier Ultimate Blends The Marvellous Transformer has become habit for me recently. This mask is a blend of Moroccan Oil and Japanese Camellia Oil, which leaves my hair feeling soft & shiny. I apply it to dry hair and leave it on for the duration of my bath, before washing my hair as normal (which I'm pretty sure it's not what the instructions recommend to do but it works for me).

I then start running my bath as I pop a few bubbles and/or a bath treat of some sort, to add a lovely fragrance and extra moisturising properties for the skin. Since I am pretty lazy with moisturising my body I always opt for bath treats that suggest hydration or silkiness, so as you can imagine the JOIK White Chocolate Bath Truffles* are right up my alley. As soon as you open the pack you are immediately hit with a gorgeous sweet scent of… yup you guessed it white chocolate, it really is divine. The truffle melts beautifully in the water and the cocoa butter left my skin super soft & actually moisturised, so thumbs up for that. What I didn't like is that it left a residue on the bath, that I had to clean up afterwards which isn't exactly what you want to be doing after a relaxing bath. But overall I was really pleased with the results it left on my skin.

While the bath fills I apply my much loved Glamglow Supermud face mask to the areas that need clarifying and detoxing. I won't go into too much detail about this as I've already done a full review here but this mask is amazing for my skin and after my bath I always apply the Glamglow Thirstymud to add back moisture. It's a duo that works for me perfectly at the moment.

And of course personally a relaxing bath is not complete without having a good browse through Bloglovin or Youtube. It might not relax others to be sitting there with their iPads out, but I just love reading blogs or watching beauty videos so this is definitely something that relaxes me.

That concludes my pamper evening and it's definitely something that I try do to once a week because as mother it's definitely well needed. As much as I'm looking forward to summer and the hot weather, I will miss my weekly baths. How do you relax and pamper yourself? I'd love to know as I'm just nosey like that…
