Mad for Coral

As promised in my KIKO Infinity Eyeshadow posts here I am back with a makeup look using the shade 209 Golden Red as the main focus. It is bright and a bit different to what I would usually wear but I have been loving this look recently, especially now that the weather has improved immensely, because it really is the perfect summer makeup look. I'd love to know what you all think of this look and if it's something you would personally wear during this time of year?

The steps for the eye makeup look and the products used are pretty much explained in the pictorial above, but if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask me. Oh and pleased do forgive me for my wild brows which are all over the place at the moment, still growing them out and it's taking a lot longer than I had hoped.

For the rest of my face I used a sample of the RMK Creamy Foundation and OMG I just love it, it lasted on me all day flawlessly on one of the hottest days in London, so I am sold. For contour and bronzing up the face I used my much loved Barry M Chisel Cheeks Kit, I have actually been using this non stop because it's so good and affordable. My brows were kept simple with Benefit Gimme Brow (this stuff is literally a lazy girl's best friend) and I used my Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara for a good curl.

To pair up my eyes I went a bit mad as I added more coral shades to the mix (but I personally think the finished result was worth my crazy moment… no? just me?). My blush of choice was Benefit Coralista the name says it all, it's a gorgeous shimmery coral shade. Lastly I applied the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks in Calypso Coral by patting it on the lips and building up the colour gradually. I chose this as my lip colour mainly because it's the only bright coral shade in my collection would you believe it.

So that's my bright summer makeup look inspired by all kinds of coral shades, which I just love and up until creating this look I had forgotten how much they suit my skin tone. I'd love to know if coral is a shade that you also enjoy wearing?
