KIKO Universal Fit Hydration Concealer, Skin Evolution Concealer

Recently I just can't get any of my foundations to look good with my super dehydrated skin, whatever method I use to apply/blend it either sits on top of my skin or clings to dry patches I didn't even know I had. So my quest to find a hydrating foundation that will blend into my skin flawlessly started and when I came across this affordable option from KIKO, I didn't even think twice about snapping it up. Whilst browsing through the store I came across their concealer options and ended up getting one of their concealer stick versions in the darkest shade available to try it out as a cream contour. After a few weeks of testing both products out here are my final thoughts…

So how did my temperamental skin get on with the Universal Fit Hydrating Foundation? Even though it's not 100% perfect, it actually blends into my skin really well and feels so natural. KIKO have described this foundation as having a 'pliable consistency' which I definitely agree with since it glides over the skin and smoothes out imperfections. Even though the name suggests it's a hydrating foundation due to the emollient active ingredients, it doesn't sit on top of the skin but rather sinks in immediately leaving a soft and velvety finish. The coverage is medium and it's just what I need as I don't usually go for high coverage bases. There's a huge variety of shades (20 to be precise) which is amazing for a foundation that only costs £6.90 so there really is a shade for everyone and I went for Warm Beige 15 which is perfect. KIKO present this as a foundation suitable for all skin types and even though the formula is unique, I'm not so sure how it would work on super dry or oily skin. This is because one little problem I am encountering is that I do eventually start to see dry patches coming through if my skin is not completely moisturised. Other then that I can't complain because it really is an amazing foundation and I'm not sure you could get any better than this for the price.

You might have noticed by now that contouring is all the rage recently especially with a lot of cream products being released and this is why I picked up Skin Evolution Concealer in the darkest shade available Cocoa 09. The stick is super creamy making it a dream to blend out with high coverage and a matte finish, which is perfect for defining the face. I actually think I might have been a bit too adventurous picking up the darkest shade as I'm still quite pale since the summer sun hasn't graced us with his presence yet. Once I do get a bit of a sun kissed glow to my skin this will be perfect and it will be my go to cream contour stick. Once again the price is affordable at £5.50 and is worth every penny for the great quality.
