#LFBeautyBox March Edition

#LFBeautyBox March Edition

I haven't indulged in a beauty box so far this year as I have been trying to use up all the samples I have recently accumulated, but when I saw sneak peaks of the Look Fantastic Beauty Box claiming to be the best one yet and totalling up to over £70, I decided to go ahead and pre-order the March edition a few days before it was released. Delivery took a little while longer then usual for some reason and I only received this before the weekend but nevertheless it is indeed a good box. Maybe not as good as I had anticipated after the claims I read, but I'm happy enough with the contents.

The first thing that stood out to me is the mini Wet Brush, which despise the tacky glow in the dark packaging is actually really good. It even beats my much loved Tangle Teezer and it's the best thing to use on the most tangled hair ever which of course belongs to my little diva, Ellie. I love using this on wet hair as it doesn't cause any breakage like I tend to get with normal brushes and it's pretty much pain free regardless of any tangles. Will definitely purchase the full size of this in the future and even though I consider the glow in the dark version tacky, it entertains my toddler so all is not lost.

Next up is the Cowshed Lippy which I have never tried before but love already. To be honest you can't go wrong with lip balms as I love them all and this is no different. The formula is super hydrating yet doesn't feel sticky or heavy, not to mention that it soothes my dry lips perfectly. I love that all ingredients are natural and include the likes of essential oils & ylang ylang to revive lips amazingly well.

Next up it was the strangely named Fat Girl Slim Cream from Bliss, which I am a little put off purely due to its name. However I haven't tried out any products from Bliss before so my blogger curiosity will surely get the better of me and try this out closer to the summer to see if the claims (to firm and reduce the dimpling effect of targeted body parts) are indeed true. I sure need help in that area but with body creams like these I'm always super sceptical so I guess the only way I will find out is by trying it and I am hoping the deluxe sample will be enough to show some signs of improvement.

Nuxe Nuxellence Detox is the only skincare product in the box and the one I am kinda bummed about as I was expecting to get the Claudalie Serum which I've seen in all the reviews I read. I'll probably leave this for when I am travelling as I love having samples like these to bring away with me and whilst I admit it didn't exactly excite me, it will definitely be used up.

Last two products of the box are both makeup bits which I am really happy with as I love makeup of course. The first is the most exciting thing in the box and what makes this March edition worth buying, and that is the NUDESTIX Magnetic Eye Colour in the shade Gilt. This pencil alone is worth £24 which is already more than what I payed for the full box in the first place. It's also a product that I was actually eyeing up last time I visited SpaceNK, but knew I would never fork out that much for an eye pencil so to receive it in the box is amazing. So far I love the shade and the creamy formula, so I look forward to using it in my makeup looks in the near future.

The second makeup product and the last thing in the box is a travel size version of the Lord & Berry Line/Shade Kajal & Eye Pencil in Black. I haven't tried anything from this brand before but so far it hasn't disappointed as the formula is super creamy, making it a dream to apply on the waterline and also along the lash line. As the name suggests its perfect for creating a soft smoky effect by smudging the liner slightly with a brush after applying. The pigment is amazing & I love the silky, semi-matte finish of this so definitely another winner for me.

So that's the March edition of the Look Fantastic Beauty Box and even though I wasn't blown away, I have to admit that I am pretty happy purely for the makeup products alone, with the other bits being an extra added bonus. Have you ordered this month's box? Or do you have another beauty box you are loving at the moment?
