I have been lusting after one of these gorgeous Hourglass blushes for a long time now, pretty much since they were first released so to say that I am excited to finally have this in my life is an understatement. The reason I have put off buying one of these is because they are pricey, £28 to be precise and with a vast collection of blushes under my belt I just couldn't justify the price tag, not to mention that I've got other priorities with my daughter being the first. The only reason I even have my hands on this right now is due to the #BeautyChatLIVE event where the price of the ticket £15 was redeemable on the night, so I'm sure you've worked out the math that I grabbed this for £13 to my delight.
Whenever I looked at numerous swatches and reviews I always imagined I would get the shade Mood Exposure, but when it came to choosing a shade in store I just couldn't keep my eyes off this stunning Radiant Magenta shade and it's what I ended up bringing home with me. Just look at those beautiful swirls of colours mixed together, I could look at it all day! Now after all that time lusting & dreaming, does it live up to my expectations… Yes it does completely. I just love this blush so much!
The shade suits my complexion perfectly and gives the most natural pop of colour to my cheeks, whilst also highlighting them slightly. I still use a highlighter as I do like my shimmer but you could easily get away without it for a stunning natural look. The formula is soft, buttery and an absolute dream to blend. It feels super lightweight and almost silky on the skin, with the shade being build able even if it does look a bit bright and scary in the pan. They have been compared to the much cheaper version of blushes from MaxFactor and I would say that whilst they are similar, this comes out on top due to the light reflecting particles that give the skin dimension.
The outer packaging is pretty but after being blown away by CT packaging it doesn't exactly wow me especially considering the price you are paying, but I'm just being extremely picky here. The only problem now is that I am hooked and I would love to get my hands on more shades but I will resist considering the amount of blushes I have and try to focus on other products from my wish list. Have you tried these blushes? Do you have a personal favourite shade?
