Another one of my Christmas gifts was the masks of all masks, Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment (I know I'm one lucky girl). Since trying out the Glamglow starter kit at the end of last summer, I fell in love with the Supermud one out of all the masks I sampled. But I kept putting off buying the full size version because let's face this stuff is pricey. I was over the moon to open this up on Christmas morning, but once I got back to London & dreaded January kicked in I was determined to finish up the few masks I had going at the time before cracking this baby open. I'm also one of those weirdos that didn't want to use this particular mask until I bagged myself the Thirstymud Hydrating one, which goes perfectly with it. Well last weekend I finally used this, so you can guess that yes I finished up most of my other masks & also managed to get my hands on its partner in crime at the bargain price of £32 off allbeauty.com (usual price is around the £50 mark).
Now onto this amazing mask, which I preferred over the original version of Glamglow. Firstly this doesn't sting when you apply it at all & it just clears my pores amazingly well. Not only that but it's also a lot more practical to apply as it doesn't have the bits of gunk (green tea leaves) that you usually get in the original mud mask. I use this once a week whilst having a relaxing bath & that is more then enough for my skin personally. On top of that because of the price you pay it's not exactly something you want to be using every night. Even though it clears my skin beautifully leaving it super soft, it does remove some of the moisture from it, leaving it with a tight feeling which is why I like to pair it up with the hydrating version.
Yes it is pricey there's no doubt about it, but it's the only mud mask that I can see a visible difference after using (I've tried Origins, Sanctuary amongs others but this is the best of the bunch in my opinion). So for me & my skin the price is totally worth it, as it is definitely something I can see myself repurchasing over & over again. A good tip is to shop around online until you find the best deal because you are bound to find them on special offer somewhere.
