The Christmas Tag

As you are reading this I am literally landing in Dublin Airport and I will be spending the next 11 days with loved ones as I enjoy the festivities. I will still have posts scheduled for you all to enjoy but I won't be as active on this or my social media accounts for the next two weeks. I do hope you stick around and bare with me till I am back in full force in the new year. I also would like to wish every one of you the happiest Christmas; here's to hoping you have an amazing day with your family and that you get everything you wished for. To get you all in the mood for celebrating if you aren't already here is the Christmas Tag which I was tagged by the lovely Beautylymin.

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie/movies?
I definitely don't just have one as I love to many but here is ones that stick in my head the most, in no particular order
  • Home Alone
  • Miracle on 34th Street
  • The Family Stone
  • Santa Claus
  • Love Actually
  • The Holiday
  • Elf
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas morning has always been the tradition since I can remember, nothing beats waking up super early in the morning eagerly awaiting until everyone is out of bed so you can all open your presents together.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
Putting up the Christmas tree is one of my favourite memories as well as being able to 'help' in the kitchen with baking. I remember both of these used to make me feel so grown up as a child.

4. Favourite festive food?
Everything, haha I really do enjoy Christmas dinner and love leftover ham sandwiches the next day. Not so mad on Christmas dessert like mince pies or pudding, no a fan of raisins you see.

6.  Favourite Christmas scent?
Anything sweet and/or fruity, like the scent of mulled wine or Christmas cookies.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
I don't think I have done anything in particular each Christmas Eve, I do like going out with my friends for a few early drinks before going home, but I haven't really done that since having Ellie as I much prefer spending time at home with her and the rest of the family now.

8. What tops your tree?
A shinning star because there is nothing better than that.

9. As a kid what was the one extravagant gift you asked for but never got?
I can't remember to be honest, I don't think I ever asked for over the top gifts once I knew all about the real Santa from an early age, so I felt bad asking my mom for something extravagant.

10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
Spending time with loved ones, enjoying Christmas dinner together and generally having a good day, especially that Ellie is around now because there's not a moment in the day where she doesn't crack me up or put a smile on my face.

Since it's already Christmas Eve, I tag anyone else that reads this post and hasn't already done so but would like to do it.

Happy Christmas all!
