Festive Look #2

Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation, L'oreal Lumi Magique Primer, Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot, MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder, Eco Tools Domed Bronzer Brush, Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray

The second look for the Christmas season is an all berry look… Now I know what you must be thinking she's crazy but bear with me until the look is over, as I really liked the finished effect and how well it all worked out. I actually wore this look to the #BloggersChristmasParty and it lasted really well, even the lipstick lasted a good 6 hours before fading which was impressive. So without further ramblings from me, let me tell you how I created the look.

First up I am once again using Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation along with L'oreal Lumi Magique Primer, I just can't get enough of this combination, it's working so well for my skin at the minute.

I then blended that in with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge which I am loving for a flawless finish, just wish it wasn't such a pain to wash weekly, because I would use it all the time if I could.

I then used my MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder along with my Eco Tools Domed Bronzer Brush to set it all in place and for extra lasting power I used a few sprays of the Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray (sorry that the photos are in the wrong order, I just realised it now).

Last step for the face was adding definition and colour to my cheeks using the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot palette with the shades Hoola for contouring, Rockateur for colour and Watts Up for highlighting. Personally I applied these shades lightly as I didn't want the whole look to be over the top once the eyes and lips were done.

Naked 3, Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer, Zoeva Eye Brushes, Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, Blinc Black Lash Primer, Rimmel Wonder'full Extreme Black Mascara, Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow, Zoeva 322 Brow Line

Next it's on to the eyes and out came my dusty Naked 3 palette which has been ignored in the last few weeks completely so thought it was about time I gave it some use. I used my favourite Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer and Zoeva Eye Brushes to create the look.

Here's the shades I used:
  • First I used Nooner from the middle of the eyelid blending out to the outer corner.
  • I then applied Factory to the crease and blended well, before adding Blackheart to the very outer corner and bringing it down under the lower lash line.
  • To bring the whole look together and add some sparkle I used Buzz in the middle of the eyelid and blended it towards the inner corner.
  • Lastly I use Strange in the very inner conner of the eye to brighten up the look slightly.
To finish off the eyes I curled my lashes using my Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler before adding my Blinc Black Lash Primer for full and voluminous lashes. I then topped my lashes with a few coats of Rimmel Wonder'full Extreme Black Mascara to finish off the eye look completely.

For my brows I used my lifesaver duos the Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow along with my Zoeva 322 Brow Line brush, which I really don't need to explain too much since I just love these two products together and go on about them all the time.

Topshop Lip Liner in Deception, Real Techniques Retractable Lip Liner Brush, Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Violine Strass

My lips were the main focus of the look so I really wanted them to be bold as well as long lasting, because re-applying lipstick too often is just not my thing. For this I used Topshop Lip Liner in Deception to line my lips and fill them in entirely. I then applied Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in Violine Strass using the Real Techniques Retractable Lip Liner Brush for definition.

And with that the look was completely finished and one that I think suits the season we are in at the moment perfectly.

Festive Look #2
So what do you think of this berry look? Do you like the combination of bold berry lips and plum smokey eyes? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it and if it's something that you would re-create…
