September Favourites

October is here and shock horror I can't believe it, I pretty much say this every month I know, but I have a feeling it will be a good month filled with lots of great things (better to think positive right)! I didn't think I would be doing a monthly favourites this time around as I just wasn't sure I had enough things worth mentioning, but when I took a closer look through my stash I realised there was definitely enough there to do a post for you all. So here's what I've been loving in September…

Makeup Revolution, Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour, Revlon, Rimmel, La Roche Posay, MOO Business Cards

I know my Makeup Revolution haul here was a bag of mixed opinions, but these two beauties stood out for me the most and turns out they are also what I have been loving to use all month long. My only problem with both of these palettes is that they can have a lot of fallout so you need to be careful with how you apply them, but the pigmentation and price definitely make up for that.
Makeup Revolution I Heart Chocolate Palette

The first is the I Heart Chocolate Palette with some gorgeous shades and great pigmentation, this is great for everyday use or even to create a dark smokey eye. I have been loving using the bronze shades and the lighter pearly shades also, as they just appeal to me the most. It's just a great palette for the price and I definitely recommend it as there's an amazing variety of shades in there.

Makeup Revolution Contour & Blush Palette in Sugar & Spice

The second product from this brand is the Contour & Blush Palette and I'll say it from the get go I don't use this for contouring, it just wouldn't look right on my skin. But I have been loving the darker, autumn shades which you can see in the photo above, as they are just that little bit different from other blushers in my stash and they are perfect for the season where in at the moment. A little bit goes a long way with this palette and the brush picks up a lot of product, so make sure you definitely tap off the excess before application.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Lip Balm

Next up I've got my trusty Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Lip Protectant, which has been a saviour for these dry lips of mine. I also own a tub of this cream which I like to use on any dry skin I might have, but this little pot is definitely much more practical for when you are on the go.

Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Plum

A lipstick had to make it's way into my favourites of the month, as I have definitely been a lipstick kind of girl all month long. This Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Plum has been worn the most as I think it's the perfect transitional shade from summer to autumn since it has that plum colour whilst still being very sheer. It's also moisturising on the lips which is a big plus for me.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer & Wonder'full Mascara

I've then got two Rimmel products which were both new purchases for me last month and I have literally been using every single time I do my makeup, so of course I had to include them in my favourites. The first is the Wake Me Up Concealer which I love using to brighten up the eye area, as the formula feels really light. Then I've got the London Wonder'full Mascara which is just great for everyday wear and achieving that gorgeous natural lashes with an added oomph. I would recommend both of these products, as I personally think they are amazing.

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo +

Next up is a skincare saviour and that is the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + which was featured here in my evening skincare routine. I only apply this in the areas that are needed such as the T-zone and I really think it has helped keep pesky spots at bay.

MOO Business Cards

Last favourite is not beauty related but I just had to mention it. I'm talking about my mini business cards which I ordered from MOO Business Cards. I was really attracted to the idea of having mini business cards to represent my blog as I thought they were so cute and definitely a great way to spark up a conversation. I will definitely be bringing these along with me for my next blogger event which should calm my nerves, as I will feel more prepared if that makes sense.

So tell me what have you been loving in September? It can be anything at all, doesn't even have to be beauty related, I'm just nosey like that…
