Mini Topshop Haul

As if my last shopping trip wasn’t enough, I accidently stumbled into Topshop (as you do) and headed straight to the makeup section. Of course I couldn’t leave empty handed now could I (that would be so rude of me). Instead I left the shop with two new products and huge grin on my face.

First up is this gorgeous highlighter in SUNBEAM, which I fell in love with a few months back during my makeup course. I searched high and low for this exact highlighter in every single Topshop store in Dublin, but it wasn’t meant to be since they were always, I mean always out of stock. You can imagine my face when I came across it here in London, I was super excited and picked it up in a flash (afraid they might run out of stock in those few seconds).

As you can see this highlighter is very yellow toned and totally different from any other highlighter I own. It is super pigmented so applying this very lightly you will be able to create a beautiful warm metallic glow to the face. I personally love the glow this creates even though it can look quite scary in the pan. It’s probably not to everyone’s taste, as I know a lot of people prefer a pinky toned highlighter but I think it’s nice to have something different for a change. In my opinion the golden tone of this highlighter looks best with a tanned skin tone. You can also use it as an eye shadow to brighten up the eye area. Who doesn’t love a multi-use highlighter, with cute packaging and a whopping 6.5grams of product all for the price of £10.

I currently own two lip glosses from Topshop but I realised I hadn’t even glanced at their lipsticks before. Knowing they are usually raved about amongst the blogging community I decided to pick up INNOCENT, which is a gorgeous muted pink. I was so disappointed when I got home to discover that the one lipstick I picked up had been used in the shop by someone and sneakly re-packed back in the box. I absolutely hate it when this happens, I don’t understand why people would use a boxed up product instead of the testers ugh… There’s nothing better than opening up a freshly packaged product and seeing it brand new in all its glory (sadly that opportunity was taken away from me). Anyway rant over because I absolutely love this shade and its creamy texture, as it glides on the lips beautifully. It doesn’t have amazing wear time, but I find that is the case with most of my lipsticks especially the buttery soft ones. Overall I think this is great product for the price of £8.

  1. They look lovely! I really want a Topshop lipstick but there is just so much choice! I tried an amazing deep pink last year and have no idea which one it was now. I just swatch absolutely everything each time I pop in!
